Seminar Poddebice 2001, Poland"Application of Genetic Engineering (GM) in Architecture, Construction and Affiliated Industries"
BACKGROUND |
POLONEUM DELEGATION 2001 left Australia for Europe on 22nd June 2001 and made a significant effort by introducing the invited representatives of chosen European business entities and organisations to the document of POLONEUM PROPOSAL 2001. This activity delivered its wonder-fruit - the world's first-of-its-kind industry specific seminar on application of genetic modification (GM) in architecture, construction and affiliated industries. The event took place on 17th August 2001 in a renaissance palace in Poddebice (literally - "township under oaks"), Poland, and the local TV station recorded the entire function. |

Overview of architecture, construction and affiliated industries (excerpts from 'POLONEUM PROPOSAL 2001') |
"The level of contemporary technology in building and affiliated industries has remained unchanged for a long time now with occasional introduction of new materials composed of metals and/or synthetics. Development of science and rapid progress in technology over the last few decades has created new opportunities for building industry, which were hardly noticed by architects, builders and professionals of ancillary industries." "The qualitative and technological parameters of this scheme are subject to adjustments accordingly with the development of the enterprise. In particular, the genetic modification (GM) shall be promoted for implementation. |

ADAPTING THE GM ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTS TO GLOBAL MARKETS |
General Product Outline (original wording from 'POLONEUM PROPOSAL 2001') |
The market for GM products proposed by POLONEUM is large and diverse, as is the nature of architecture, construction and affiliated industries. Only a few of the GM products have capacity to successfully enter markets instantly or after a relatively inextensive R&D. The fact is that most of these products can possibly be introduced only in the future, due to their level of complexity and/or such performance parameters, which induce fresh legal issues. In terms of the business viability, the GM products may be classified in the following categories:
A. Exemplary items available for introduction after a relatively short period of R&D:
- weeds and bushes for stabilising retaining walls and slopes along the roads and excavations B. The GM products, to be developed and introduced in the course of up to 15 years. Following is
- natural, environmentally friendly housing for the aboriginal people e.g. a 'baobab house' C. POLONEUM forecast is that market demand in future would comprise the following GM
- GM shaped architectural structures grown not erected Note: The above listings are not comprehensive - the groups of products are projected for purpose of general information only and are subject to a prioritisation at relevant stages of R&D and/or production. The above GM products, which incorporate unique upgraded and/or yet non-existent features and levels of performance, are unavailable from any source at this point of time. It is up to the global community and its level of general self-awareness to set standards for GM product R&D in the future. The list never ends, as there is an infinite range of applications in architecture, construction and affiliated industriesfor the GM products and technologies, reaching far beyond our imagination today. In Australia, president Stan Kabacinski kept fostering growth of the POLONEUM family of organisations by establishing POLONEUM Educational Advancement Charitable Entity Incorporated and POLONEUM Solar City Chapter. In 2009, he co-founded an Australian biotechnology giant - BIOCONST Pty Limited, and in 2011 he founded the world's first company strictly following the Poddebice Seminar's guidelines, the driving force of the global biotechnology conceptualism - TIIT Technology Institrute Pty. Ltd. |
